Pope Francis
1936—2025
It is with sad hearts that we say farewell to our beloved Pope Francis who died aged 88 on Monday 21st of April 2025.
Pope Francis was the first Jesuit and first Latin American to lead the Catholic Church. He used his time as pope to urge Catholics to embody what he believed were the three hallmarks of God’s presence: closeness, compassion, and tenderness.
It is with faith, hope, and love, that we commend Pope Francis into the hands of our good and merciful God, and pray for the repose of his soul.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
Rest in Peace
Congratulations!
Cailín Geraghty
“He leads us on a path that is far greater than any life plan we could have ever envisaged for ourselves.”
Cailín Geraghty (pronounced Colleen) recently announced that after much prayer, she believes that our Lord Jesus may be calling her to religious life with the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. To explore this vocation further, Cailín has been accepted by the sisters to enter the convent located in Nashville Tennessee for a period of formation as she further discerns her vocation.
While Solemn Vows (when Cailín would officially become a religious sister) are still years away, being accepted into the convent is a very significant step in Cailín’s life and a strong indicator of a genuine vocation.
We are so thankful to the great and merciful Jesus for Cailín and her heroic ‘YES’ to God. We are grateful for her beautiful family who have nurtured and encouraged the faith in Cailín’s life; and we are excited for what the future holds for Cailín and our parish.

What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is the practice of prayer and the worship of our Lord Jesus who in a mysterious way is truly present in the Eucharist.
In a miracle which has fascinated mankind for two-thousand years, when a priest prays the words of consecration during the Mass, bread and wine miraculously change into the Body and Blood of Christ—while maintaining the appearance of bread and wine.
The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist is something that ‘cannot be apprehended by the senses…but only by faith,’ writes St. Thomas Aquinas.
During the stillness and silence of Eucharistic Adoration, intense rays of divine love radiate from our Blessed Saviour and penetrate the souls of those present.
